Graphics Specialist - New York Mets (Flushing, NY)

Job Title: Graphics Specialist
Department: Marketing & Communications

Reports To: Director, Marketing & Communications

Summary: The Graphics Specialist is responsible for contributing to and implementing the art direction for each season that effectively and creatively communicates and achieves the Mets business objectives and brand messaging. This position utilizes that art direction to design a high volume of collateral materials in an efficient manner.

Major Duties:
? Develop an art direction for each season that creatively communicates the Mets business objectives and brand messaging with a transactional bent through video, online and print pieces.
? Implement art direction in the design of ticketing, sponsorship and venue services collateral.
? Design graphics for video boards, television spots, archiving and media asset management of final designs and previous versions when required in support of the Productions/Entertainment department.
? Create ads and graphics for social and digital media initiatives.
? Provide design support for related corporate properties: Aramark, Brooklyn, St. Lucie, Metropolitan Hospitality, Sterling, SNY, QBC.
? Offer input to IT department regarding Mac issues: equipment and software needs, technical problems, etc.
? Provide samples of art direction and/or logos for materials not produced in-house.
? Consult with outside vendors in production of materials: technical issues, proof correction or approval, etc.
? Assist with special projects at Ownership/senior management request.

Qualifications:
? Successful track record of crafting breakthrough, visually compelling creative campaigns that drive revenues.
? Broad-based experience/understanding of integrated marketing (advertising, promotion, publicity, online, publishing).
? Ability to think strategically about the brand across multiple platforms, including online, television, wireless mobile and pod-casting.
? Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively and flexibly collaborate at all levels of the organization
? Exceptional and persuasive written, verbal and presentation skills.
? Action-oriented individual who is able to prioritize, plan, make decisions and over communicate in a lean organization.
? Quick and innovative thinker with anticipatory sense, excellent sense of judgment/nuance/ sensitivities
? Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills and team-oriented.
? Action-oriented, organization first and ability to multi-task.
? Trust builder with discretion of the highest order.
? Bachelor?s degree, preferably in Fine Arts or Graphic Design.
? One to two years? experience as graphic artist/designer with sports or entertainment company.
? Strong artistic vision and creative abilities.
? Proficiency in Quark/InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator. Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
? Experience with After Effects and 3D Animation software preferred.
? Solid knowledge of baseball.
? Production knowledge a plus.
