LeBron James All-Star Dunks: Off-The-Backboard Ally Oop Starts Run Of 1st Quarter Slams (VIDEO)

LeBron James again opted not to participate in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, but that doesn't mean he won't throw down the best dunks of the weekend.

Early in the first quarter of the 2013 NBA All-Star Game in Houston, James and his Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade combined on (yet another) impressive fastbreak flush that showed why everyone is clamoring for him to participate in the event in the first place. After a West score, the East pushed the ball back up the court quickly, with James finding Wade out ahead in transition. Rather than score himself, Wade bounced the ball off the backboard.

James soared in to emphatically finish off the play.

A few minutes later, James was on the finishing end of another fastbreak ally oop. Carmelo Anthony, who was apparently not totally blinded by Craig Sager's jacket, lofted a pass for James, who slammed it home with authority.

As he continued to build up a first quarter dunk portfolio that would likely stand up against those who actually competed in the Slam Dunk Contest, James threw down a one-handed tomahawk slam on a solo break.
